My main artist name. All projects which are not House music or Rap, I’m releasing as ‘De Zelve’.
Born in The Netherlands in 1992, Richard Jansema began producing his own music age 15 resulting in his first album called Mellow Morning in 2014. After this rather calm release his desire to escape his bedroom rose and he started to make tracks which held more energy. The EP 'Grotesque' is a testament to that. A year later he produced the Techno EP called 'Steamships' in 2015 and he began his journey to start DJing in clubs and venues.
Recruiting collaborators from across genres, he rose up to the stage for the first time in April 2018, producing for WadAap. Together they created the 2 iconic Dutch Hiphop albums:

After learning a lot collaborating with others, De Zelve is now mainly working on his solo act 'Giza Wave'. He created a DJ set consisting only out of tracks he produced himself incorporating visuals as well.
